Looking for a new adventure? Have you ever wondered where the big red trucks, lights and sirens blaring, are heading off to? Do you want to experience the thrill and feel the pride of helping someone in their time of need?
Variety of Incidents
Our department responds to various types of emergency situations every year. The incidents we respond to include structure, vehicle, and vegetation fires, automobile and off-road accidents, carbon monoxide alarms, natural gas leaks, water and ice rescues, along with many more miscellaneous emergencies. We also work very closely with our EMS partners to provide additional help on medical calls.
Training
No experience is necessary to join! All training to become a fully-certified firefighter will be provided. There are monthly trainings in which valuable hands-on experience is gained through mock scenarios and equipment practice. Additionally, the department will pay for you to earn Wisconsin Firefighter Certifications through classes hosted by MATC. With this, and through lessons learned at actual incidents during your year-long probation period, you can become an invaluable asset to the Sauk City Fire Department and the citizens of the Sauk Fire District.
We are looking for motivated individuals looking to serve their community in a fun and fast paced environment where you will learn a multitude of skill sets to help save lives! If you are 18 years old, have a valid driver’s license, and live or work within three miles of the Sauk City Fire Station, consider joining our team!
If you are interested in joining the department, please fill out the form below, and someone will reach out to you. You are not committing to anything, we would love answer any questions you may have!
